KEYSTONE GUN DOGS RECEIVED THE ETHICAL BREEDER AWARD !!!
The Ethical Breeder Award is awarded to only the select few breeders who stand out in their field. Click on the blue colored wording (below) for German ShortHaired Pointer.
The following criteria was used in determining the Ethical Breeder award.
Should only breed to improve the breed. Meaning that the breeder only breeds from dogs which display excellent characteristics of the breed.
Make use of relevant health screening schemes on all breeding stock. These schemes include DNA testing, hip dysplaysia, elbow dysplasia and inherited eye conditions etc....
Care for the puppies correctly before finding them new caring homes, this includes making sure the puppies are weaned correctly and that the puppies are socialized.
Provide a reasonable aftercare advice to the new owners via telephone or email.
If necessary, you should commit to help with the re-homing of a dog or take the dog back, for whatever reason, throughout the dog's lifetime.
It is true the emblem below can be copied and pasted onto any website. However, this Ethical Breeder Award was awarded to us legitimately and we at Keystone Gun Dogs are very honored to have received it. The award is not "fake" and it does hold meaning. It especially holds meaning to us because we are very passionate, serious and proud of our dogs and puppies. We have been working hard to breed quality, healthy, biddable German Shorthaired Pointers for 30 years! We do not need to "try" to look better, we already are. I would not buy a puppy from any breeder that feels the need to 'put down' other breeders. They obviously feel this is the only way to sell their pups.
'I ASKED GOD FOR A BEST FRIEND AND HE GAVE ME A GERMAN SHORTHAIRED POINTER"
(And yes, the above phrase was also stolen from this web site and used on Some Other Shorthair breeders site including most everything else! These fairly young breeders just do not have respect for their peers. Keystone Gun Dogs is not the only breeder that feels this way about them. There are many other breeders throughout the United States that do not care for their puppy-mill breeding tactics and the disrespect they show toward experienced, conscientious breeders of German Shorthaired Pointers)
